The verdict

Superhero

Superpower

A botanical tea blend that brings a little ginseng and lemon into the bar.

Lemon ginseng tea doesn't have one government name. It's a blend, so on a label each ingredient in it gets its own, starting with ginseng root.

Superhero or supervillain?

Superhero. Its superpower is bringing a botanical touch of ginseng and lemon to my Lemon Loofah Soap.

What it does in my soap

Tea in soap is mostly about adding a botanical ingredient and sometimes a bit of color. Lye can change a tea's color and scent, so it may end up a soft tan in the bar. Ginseng is famous as something people drink; in soap, I'm not making any claims beyond that it's in there.

Where you’ll find it

In 1 thing I make.

Usually seen with olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil and olive wax.

Don’t judge an ingredient by its government name. Judge it by the science.
